EUROPEAN BRONZE SWORD OR DAGGER
Bronze sword or dagger, so-called ‘Antenne’ Sword.
Hilt decorated with incised dots, separate cross-piece having upward curled corners and pin on top for now missing inlaid part of bone or wood; blade with central rib. Traces of use.
H. 40,7 cm. Brown patina. Mounted on bronze stand. Ex Vente Drouot, Paris1970s.
Probably Hallstatt or La Tène period, 8th-7th cent. BC.
